DESCRIPTION:Registration for Camp Dixie EVERYMAN Weekend 2025 is now open! \nWhat is EVERYMAN Weekend? \nIt’s a weekend full of competition\, honest conversations and camaraderie with other men. You will join a team\, compete across a variety of physical and mental competitions and participate in conversations that will open your heart and mind. \nYou and your team will compete across a variety of competitions including\, airsoft\, basketball\, engineering challenge\, chess\, football\, soccer\, video games\, pool volleyball\, pugil stick\, memory challenge\, cornhole\, 3 man relay\, and more. EVERYMAN competitions are designed so that each man can contribute to their team. \nYou will be led in conversations that will challenge the way you think\, assist you in discovering who you are and why you are here on earth.These conversations are meant to call us forward\, to compel us to live a more meaningful and fulfilling life. While they may feel intimidating\, we believe its necessary to face them and learn through the challenge in order to become the men we are called to become . \nEVERYMAN is about discovering who you are in the eyes of God. \nEVERYMAN is about strengthening your whole self; mind\, heart\, body and soul. \nEVERYMAN is about genuinely connecting men to each other  to be encouraged and navigate life with. \nWe want you to join us. EVERY MAN is welcome!! \nWe encourage fathers to bring their sons who are at least 7 years old. We want them to be alongside of us as we aim to become stronger and more humble men. If your son is younger and will participate and focus please consider bringing them.  \nWe are confident it will be the most meaningful weekend you’ll have this year! \nThe cost of the weekend covers lodging\, food and shirt. \nWeekend Info – \nCheck in time: Friday October 3rd at 5:00pm \nCheck out time: Sunday October 5th: 1:00pm \nPacking list: Bed linens/sheets or sleeping bag and pillow for twin bed. Towels (shower and pool)\, washclothes\, soap\, shampoo. Swimsuit\, sandals\, shoes for competitions (extra pair in case they get wet)\, sports/activity clothing (it will be hot)\, long sleeve shirts and pants if planning to compete in airsoft (recommended). Sunglasses\, bug spray\, sun-block. Flashlight\, baseball cap/hat. Cash for vending machines/camp store. This means that you belong in the light. Our pride is the greatest divide between us and the God that made us. When we believe we are in control or act as if we do not need our Creator\, our sins\, our mistakes\, our downfalls all separate us psychologically and relationally. Coming into the light by telling the truth and being honest is the first step; learning to live as a child of the light is the adventure. \nThe men that I know who are most free\, most humble and most joyful are the ones who surrender daily. Your sin’s do not define you\, the love of Christ\, when let in\, does. You\, along with the God that loves you have the ability to change everything. EVERYMAN competitions are designed so that each man can contribute to their team. \nYou will be led in conversations that will challenge the way you think\, assist you in discovering who you are and why you are here on earth. \nThe conversations will focus on how we understand parts of our identity and what roles and positions we inhabit as we journey through life. You will be challenged to think about who you are as a \nLeader \nWhat is your attitude and encouragement towards others? What motivates you to assist people through life? Are you confident in what you do and do you need to face any fears to grow your confidence? \nFather \nIf you are a father\, how do you lead your children? How do you think\, feel and relate to your own? What does it mean to be fathered? \nBrother \nHow do you treat your brothers regardless of how they treat you? Who have you walked alongside of or who has walked alongside of you in your darkest times and greatest moments? \nSon \nWhat does it mean to be a child of God? How do you live surrendered and in honor of being called a child of God? What does it mean to honor your father and mother? \nThese conversations are meant to call us forward\, to compel us to live a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
